Information for manufacturers and distributors of MARINE EQUIPMENT

The Product Certification Division of Centrum Techniki Okrętowej S.A. holds the status of a Notified Body No. 2434 (NB 2434), authorised to carry out conformity assessment procedures for marine equipment in accordance with MED 2014/90/UE Directive.

We provide comprehensive certification services for marine equipment, in particular products constituting passive fire protection measures used on board ships, based on the requirements of relevant IMO instruments and applicable regulations.

Scope of Conformity Assessment Modules:

• Module B – EU Type Examination, resulting in the issuance of an EU Type Examination Certificate to the manufacturer,
• Module D – Conformity to type based on quality assurance of the production process,
• Module E – Conformity to type based on quality assurance of the final product inspection and testing.

Thanks to the extension of our certification scope to include Modules D and E, we offer manufacturers and distributors full support throughout the certification process, covering both the assessment of the product design and ongoing surveillance of the quality management system, as well as control of the final product.
